A great range of lodging options for every budget.Ī gust of wind blew my hat off the pier and into the Gulf. A great family-friendly beach, as well as to just relax. People with flashlights comb the shores at night, and by morning, signs that patrol cars came by in the sands. Visitors can rent tubes, kayaks, umbrellas, and surfboards.

Shore is wide and waters don't run too deep near the shore, making it safe for people who don't know how to swim. Ocean color is stunning and in the deeper waters, home to what looked like eels, fish, jellyfish, pelicans, etc. Easy access to parking and public showers and near piers, bathrooms as well.

Crystal clear waters with no odor or pollution. Hadn't been in 30 years and loved it this time around. And also plenty of shops for your retail therapy fix in Pier Park! Something for everyone…and miles of beach to share. But if you prefer something more bustling, Panama City town has the more lively bars and drinking areas. If you want quiet and a more relaxed pace go towards Laguna Beach and Sunnyside. I loved the fact there were lots of pelicans flying about and managed to capture them on the sunset below. Even an amateur photographer like me, managed to take some beautiful shots. Whilst the beach was very relaxing during the day, the sunsets were some of the most stunning and beautiful I have ever seen anywhere in the world. Although, admittedly maybe the locals would have suggested it was too cold! I enjoyed every visit during my two weeks day, and the only time it was particularly busy was Thanksgiving weekend, but again, there was still plenty of room for everybody. However, the weather was beautiful, and I was able to swim in the sea. The beach is vast, and when I visited in November it was virtually empty. The sand is crisp and white, and almost like crushed ice. This was my second visit to Panama City Beach, and I had forgotten how beautiful it was.
